The Heart of Hollywood Foundation collaborates with businesses, organizations, and social enterprises to direct our funding resources where they have the most impact. Our passion to serve our community lies in the heart of Hollywood.
The foundation is deeply committed to serving the disadvantaged in and around Hollywood. Our funding initiatives address an array of community needs that include cooking and serving meals at homeless shelters; providing weekly bag lunches, clothing, hygiene products to the homeless; supporting community emergency response programs; building homes; and partnering on programs designed to help break the cycle of poverty.
Our Global Outreach for 2014:
Haiti: The foundation is once again partnering with Hollywood UMC to send a team of 8 volunteers to Haiti. This will be the fifth mission trip to the impoverished country. The group will embark upon the 8 day journey beginning Friday January 17, 2014. They will be working in the mountainous community of Yvon, approximately three hours west of the capital city of Port-au-Prince. The purpose of this trip is to continue rebuilding communities that were damaged or destroyed during the earthquake of 2010. Follow our trip to Haiti on Facebook.
Philippines: The foundation is proud to announce the support of our second international relief program. Join us on Saturday May 3 and Sunday May 4, 2014 as we partner with Hollywood UMC & Stop Hunger Now to package dry food and health kits. We are presently seeking event co-sponsors to help cover the packaging costs. Visit our event page or contact Michael Kelley - Director of Global Outreach for more details. Mission Opportunity: We will soon be sending a team of relief volunteers to the areas hardest impacted by Super Typhoon Haiyan. Follow our work in the Philippines on Facebook.
